STONEDRIFTERS SOUND BRIGADE - A unique band with a style and sound sculptured by influences from a blend of music, imagination and a misuse of medicine. With a glowing sense of pride they wear there North East working class roots firmly on there sleeves, walk with a slight confident swagger and write and perform with a poetic and energetic air about them. Fuelled by everyday life, the girls the soul destroying jobs the love of the people around them and spiritual experiences shared in times of madness. They came together through a love of music and all share a burning belief that there is more out there to be had than 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.
The band were signed up by Berlin-based promotion company British Bands Ignite last summer and left there homes in Teeside, North-England in September to live in the German capital. They have quickly built up a reputation as the must see upcomming band in the city and have drawn interest from many area's including Universal Records and top European bookers.
